Telecommunications Room (TR)

Backbone Cabling

Connects TRs, equipment rooms, and entrance facilities. Typically fiber or high-performance copper.

Horizontal Cabling

Runs from TRs to individual workstations. Usually Cat6 or Cat6A cables

Work Area

 Includes outlets, patch cords, and end-user devices.
